 We have a new, free benefit for library members – access to 1000’s of newspaper and magazine titles online, at home or on-the-go. As well as more than 160 UK newspaper titles and 360 different UK magazines, there are international, foreign language newspapers and magazines too. Simply login to the PressReader website or app using your library card number and PIN, and you’re bound to find something to interest you.

If you would like help getting started with PressReader, please come to see us, and we will be more than happy to help. Also, don’t forget that we offer free 1:1 IT sessions for beginners too.

It’s back to school time, and we have lots of children’s non-fiction and reference books in branch to help with homework projects. Online, you can also explore our great General Reference and Homework Help resources including the encyclopaedia Britannica Junior Edition for ages 5-11, and the Student Edition for ages 12-18. Just go to http://info.westberks.gov.uk/ 35203    and login with your library card number.

Coming soon – look out for our new Code Club for children 9yr+ to learn programming skills, and how to program their own interactive stories, games and animations using Scratch.

Art Group Share, learn, unearth your creative side. Tues 2-4pm.

English Conversation Group Fun, informal, for non-English speakers. Wed 1-3pm.

Craft and Chat Friendly drop-in session – bring your knitting, sewing or other craft project. Fri 10-12pm.

IT lessons for beginners Free 1:1 sessions for PC, tablet or smartphone. Fri 12-2pm.

Gardening Group Share ideas, tips, plants and seeds. 2nd Fri of the month 5:30pm.

Bookworms Book Group Join this friendly group for informal discussion of the month’s chosen book. 3rd Fri of the month 5:30pm.

French Conversation with Coffee & Croissants A welcoming group of French-speakers of all levels meet to chat in French. 4th Sat of the month 10:30-12pm.

Dyslexia Advice Session FREE, no appointment required. Last Sat of the month 10:30-12pm.
