The Community of Hungerford Theatre Company provides theatre for all ages.

Its main production is the long-established annual ” Town Show” which takes the form of a well-known musical. “Blitz!” (cast below),”Hello Dolly”, “Flower Drum Song”, “Annie Get Your Gun”, “Happy As A Sandbag” and “Salad Days” are the most recent productions . The show is performed each year during February and is open to anyone resident in Hungerford and the surrounding area. There is no audition to get into the chorus but if you wish to take one of the singing or speaking roles then an audition is required.

One of our past performances was Lionel Bart’s ‘Blitz!’ performed at the John O` Gaunt Community Technical College between Feb 20th and 23rd 2008. 

The company also has a group called Hungerford Young Performers for those aged 6 to 8 years. They meet every Monday in the John 0′ Gaunt Youth Centre, Priory Road, from 4.3Opm to 5.3Opm. A production is presented each year just before Easter.

The adult group – The Players, stage plays in May and during The Hungerford and District Community Arts Festival in July. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings beginning in late February.

From late February, Hungerford Children’s Theatre (Aged 9 to 13 years) meet every Friday evening in The John 0′ Gaunt Community Centre, 7pm to 8.3Opm. Rehearsals during this period lead to a production being performed in July.

During the same period Hungerford Youth Theatre (aged 14 to 21 years) meet in the John 0′ Gaunt Community Centre on Mondays, from 7pm to 9pm, to rehearse a production for performance in July.

The Community Theatre Company have teams of people who get involved in the creative process but do not want to appear on-stage.
